  • QLD Lakeside Laps ver.2 - Jan 22, 2012. $25

    Alrighty people.
I have been in contact with the guys at Lakeside and they have given me the next free date.
We have been booked in for Sunday 22 January.

Nominations for the day are closed!

Same deal as last time, rock up, pay for food (get armband) and get free laps/passengering thrown in.
This time it is a breakfast deal so we start at 7:30 for the breifing and get the 30 minutes on track again (breakfast is cheaper and the air should be cooler = more performance)

    Menu:
    Fresh toast
    Fried or Scrambled eggs
    Crispy bacon
    Gourmet chipolatas
    Baked beans
    Tea & coffee
    Fruit platter
    Mixed Danishes

Still need 30 paying customers minimum but this time I am allowing you to invite family/friends from other manufacturers if you like.
Preference is for forum members though.

Let me know if you can make it.
Everyone had a ball at the last one.

I am capping the numbers at 35 in order to allow everyone to have a bit of a spirited drive rather than a bogged down traffic jam.
If you wish to enter past the 35 car cutoff then i will have a waiting list in case people pull out.
I will likely have to give final numbers by 16 January.

      DreamensioN is in!

Question: If I still have my 200SX by then (it's for sale at the moment), but say I do still have it. Do you reckon anybody would have a problem if I drove that, instead of the Golf R?

If you can let me know about your passengers/others for food (if any) as well I would really appreciate it.

Should be fine with the 200sx mate.
There will be plenty of R's to chase you no doubt.

I am not actually sure about this one.
They didn't check our licenses at the first one.

The problem will be getting your car to the track.
          Will clarify though.

Am very keen to do this again, was the most fun I've had in ages. Thats going to be a very busy time though and would have to leave before 5 to get there that early, will let you know closer to the time. Think the girlfriend will want to bring her polo next time and know someone else who may be intetested, so could be down for 3 cars

I understand where you are coming from mate.
It's a shame they can't hold it any later.

If I opted for the lunch session the next available date was late February so i figured get in early while everyone is still hyped.

An early morning doesnt bother me that much, but I may be in the process of moving to brisbane that weekend, in which case I'll definitely be out

Not sure if I using the GTI or my mate's Beema this time round... I may want to preserve the wear and tear on my GTI!

Lakeside do not require you to hold a licence to drive on the track but common sense does prevail so as long as you drive suitably you should be fine.

As such i have added you to the list.
