for the level this is aimed at i think its fine as is, if people want to step it up a notch all well and good, we arent timing or anything.
maybe if we all agree to a headlight flash or something for slower cars to get out of the way and try and sort the cars into some kind of speed order ie put all the r's at the front gti's and the like in the middle and atmo stuff at the back we should be fine. there were only a few cars that got lapped more than once last time.
The price of the car rarely indicates driver ability/lap time.
Flashing your lights will only work IF the driver in front STILL flags you past as per QR instructions to acknowledge a car is passing. Don't try complicating it. Car in front MUST acknowledge you to ensure everyones safety and enjoyment. (though I had flashed my lights a few times to ensure cars knew I was coming on to the back of em and keen to get by when safe to do so )

Well i have a passenger coming. Does he need to pay for breakfast? Or can he just be a passenger.
I agree with what you said regarding the type of day it is. Leave it at that.
9 more cars. Is almost the entire front straight taken up with gaps. So its actually a hell of a lot of extra cars. If we can get 2 groups that would be great. They can only say no.
I think i will try and organize a track day soon for those interested. Im currently in a similar boat with track days, need a second set of wheels as A: 19's suck on the track and B: tyres get runied pretty quickly.

At the last one I would have had the least powerfull (although im not sure what power that mk3 tdi made, i doubt it can be less then the 1.8 though I could barely keep up with it in the straight), cheapest car there, along with next too no track experience, however I can only recall being lapped more then once by one car, and actually overlapped a couple others. I guess the difference is I'm not nearly as protective of the little **** box unlike everyone with there new expensive fancy gtis and R's probably are, and drove the absolute tits off it
Really, unless someone is really slow in an event like this I think its probably best to just leave overtaking to the straights. Lakeside is a short circuit and the straight comes around every minute or so anyway.. Still, light flashing is an idea I like, but as said, whoever is being overtaken should definitely give the signal that it is safe to do so as well, especially if its wet.
