Still waiting to hear back about delivery date… It's killing me. Don't reckon i'll make it for this one though. Heard anything about your Czech black beauty yet, BlueFrog?

nah but with my dealer I wouldn't expect to hear from him until the day before delivery, hehe .. of course the Cup will probably delay delivery by an extra few days no doubt.

            .

We'll repeat this revised Warburton/Marysville route next month on Sat 3 Dec so everyone who wants to can get to enjoy it.

Personally I'm very keen to see the Targa High Country this next Sunday (6 Nov) so I'll be starting off at Knox at 7:20 / 7:30am and will follow the proposed route to Marysville before heading on to Mt Buller.

well the new route proved to be some epic fun so we might make it permanent.

I've updated the first post .. meet time is now 7:30 for 7:45am departure.

                some pics from last Sunday:

Aww I missed out! Been way too busy to attend the last cruise. What a great turnout though from the photos!

In regards to GOR: A relaxing cruise sounds good! Those hidden turns... there are speed cameras sometimes around corners you can't see until you're around the corner.

I remember bumping into one when I went to GOR not long ago. I was speeding that day too (80km/hr in 60 zone ) but I never got the ticket - guess they let us all off since I was following another car infront and wasn't minding the speed all that much since it changes non stop. That and I was in a Getz 1.3, so they probably thought... meh.

Also, apologies to Bluefrog for not mentioning I wasn't coming in the end (not like it matters much since I'm new).

Impressive bunch of vehicles in that previous cruise, would be great to hear some feedback on how the different hot hatches handled in the real world driving conditions?? That would be alot more useful and interesting to me compared to the frequent stupid track reviews, since most cars wont ever see track use and our roads are far from smooth and consistent.

GOR cruise also sounds good, cant wait to hear my exhaust note bouncing off some of those nearby cliff faces

                                +1 im with you, man.

its mildly interesting, sure, but then again im not TOO caught up in the fact that a FPV GT will smash a golf gti around eastern creek - never tracked my car, let alone tracking it at eastern creek, so it doesnt apply to me.

i DO however, like to drive up reefton spur, and i know for a fact that a polo will smash a FPV GT up around those roads. some people wont like this, but it's merely an objective truth.

it'd be interesting to see the astras and mazda mps3 in action - ive heard the mps3 can be a bit of a handful.

(we all know the golfs would have done well, and that the meganes would have romped it).

in the same vein, im sick and bloody tired of reading mp412c vs 458 italia reviews, driving tips for handling the bugatti veyron supersport, and that the new porsche gt3rs has been bored out to 4.0L.... there's something to be said for peeps who want to read about cars they ACTUALLY see on the road, and are thinking of purchasing.
