It seems it's hard to find a good dealer in Canberra pretty much period.

Yeh alot of people seem to like my wheels, as evidenced by the number of photos on numerous forums. Funny, most of the shots only show the wheels, hahaha (stuff the car)

Must mention, cause I am pretty proud given my efforts, the car also won BMW's People's Choice Award (or should that have been "People Wheels Choice Award" hehehe)

                      Now if I was Rocket......

What a weekend, awsome weather (Who would think ide get sunburnt in Canberra), sweet cars and rad people.

                      Saturday

Got up at 5:30am (Havnt been up this early for a good 6 months) picked up Stu and Jarred down the freeway to meet the others. Carl in his MkV, Matt and Lisa in the merc, Dado and Kosta in the Mk2 and Van in the Polo.

We all enjoyed checking out the cars that were on their way to PCM at Winton. Even our mates in the excel thats wanted to race WFT!

                      Anyways first pit stop:

Picked up Jason (Kaos hunter) and YellowDieselGolf in his awsome Mk4 from Albury and meet the Mk3 servo lady... "So like you into Volkswagens?"

                      Rolling shots:

We then cruised on through the day to Canberra pumping tunes, playing I-spy and just being rad. Booked into our hotel and headed off to Canberra VW centre for a BBQ.

Plenty of fun here cheacking out the collection and meeting the other cars. Stu showed us how to drink lollie water. Dinner at Dikson, quick stop to polish our wheels and back to watch Team America.

                        Sunday

I hate mornings but off to Macca's for some quality coffee. Canberra is a nice place to drive around on a sunny day and we hit up GAF, cool cars, nice place and plenty of sun. Highlights for me were, Jayjay's Mk2, the 3 Mk3's from Sydney, SnowyBunny's mint Mk4, the 2 Mk1's (Red and blue), seeing the Mk1 rally car and just general loking at other rides.

Carl looking for his next project:

After stuffing around for like an hour we finally all got oraganised for a drive out to Brindabella way with locals Stoie and valgamesh. Wow that is some awsome tarmac. Aaron leading and the Mk2 behind we were in good hands for some fun and Loon couldnt get the smile off his face...

Some of us then headed up Mt Stromlo for a quick look and wind down. Back off to ****son for dinner and then drinking...

                          Monday

Well fair shack of the sauce bottle...

Coming home is always a luagh, with food music and warp speed runs.

                          -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What an epic weekend, I think GAF has the potential to be one of the bigger VWwatercooled meet in Oz, Canberra is rad location for a weekend, its pretty easy and can be cheap with the show location good fun. Ill be back for 2011...

Few people to high five too...

Thanks Jarred and Stu for riding with me in the speed machine.
Matt n Lisa, Dado n Kosra, Dylan n Kirst, Van and Carl for coming up and representing the Mexicans.
Kaos Hunter and YellowDieselGolf for meeting us in Albury.
The crew and Canberra VW centre for the Saturday arvo.
Stoie and valgamesh for the fang.
And all the NSW and ACT people who came...

                            Hahaha

                            Golden woody!

Great weekend! It was nice to have something other than cool VW's to perve on for a change (those porkas!)

Good times already, it's always a blast getting together with a bunch of like minded people and sharing stories and watching stu get drunk.

BIG thanks to Woody for organsing the Accom, and being our tour guide/compass through Canberra.

Thanks for a the fang Loon and Pierre both your cars are grouse! Pierre your car is just so sexy, it's just spot on, the ride height, wheels everything!

Peter's Corrado is just super sexy and I love it! Snowy's car was even more incredible in real life than in pics! super neat, and super clean.
It was also neat seeing a mk 1 scirocco! in real life, and a super ratty K04 Caddy! Wish I had the space for that 16V mk 2 2 door!

Stowie and Valgamesh, you two are insane. :O

but it was best seeing some two super cool retro mk 1's! slammed on stockies is always a winner (esp when the cars tha mint!) and Dom your car was just so retro.

BRING ON DOVW! hopefully the cabby will be all prettied up!

                            i like volkswagens

Terrible mirror shot past the police squad
