And where are the pictures of the yellow rocco in the car park? Everyone says they saw it.
We were all too overcome to take pics. Better it remains the stuff of legend.

Cheers,

Hi
They are up now, I needed to get some sleep.
I'm part way through linking photos to names. My son took a photo of nearly every entrant and did the slide show at the presentation so I'm linking up with those photos.
We need more people running at the Supersprint next year.
Thanks to everyone who attended, you people make it all worthwhile.

Fan of anything with a VW or Audi badge, but I like my air with a dash of H2O
Just to add to this, the criteria was 4 section each out of 25 points. Where I can see that you no doubt could have topped 2 catergories which were paint, body and overall asthetics and Interior overall.
The other two were engine bay and exhaust, suspension and brakes. These two catergories could have hurt you. In saying this, this was the same case with alot of the other cars that were judged people weren't opening there bays or couldn't see the condition of the inside of the car.
Overall your car was well presented and beautiful paint job! The interior was emaculate to say the least!
Pitty I didn't get to meet you I went passed the Shannons section but couldn't see anyone there to talk to.
Thanks mate!
i was at the stand most of the day, the only times i actually wasnt there was when i went to lunch, had to go and look at people's cars for their insurance and there was a moment there in the morning i went for a walk around the show to have a look while i could! Other then that, i was there the whole time and i was pretty busy when i was there!
At least i know where to work on with my car. The car will be at Motorex in July, then off to Autosalon in September (Gold Coast) and November (Sydney). Plus whatever smaller shows are around of course!
I understand your point of view. But the score is marked largely to do with cleanliness. Your car (obviously) scored well in all other areas, but having one complete catagory (which is 25% of your total mark) that isn't "up to scratch" as is were, really pulls your total mark down. Like I said, if the engine bay had of been as clean and tidy as the rest of the car, it would have faired much better.
Thanks for the info buddy! Appreciate the feedback!
Does anyone actually know these girls at all? I need to get in contact with them...for photography reasons!
Their hands are smeared on your car, how could you forgive them for that hahah. I thought YOU brang them! They were definitely friendlier and more smiley than most other promo girls.
There's nothing I can say about the event that hasn't already been said. It dragged on a teeny bit and it was getting tedious to wait for so long, but I can understand why it was so, and I didn't really mind. Chuffed with 2nd place too, I was only entering because the rest of the VWGolf bunch did and I didn't wanna be the odd one out! Definitely didn't expect a mention, let alone a nice award
Bring the next event right on. DOVW is it? Might have to take the trek to Melbourne
