Greetings Wise Ones. I am about to replace a leaking thermostat housing seal. I have all the relevant VW documentation from Erwin. My question is, how to refill the cooling system without the special VW kit?

A few thousand kilometers ago, the sum cracked was off the auto box on my 2007 Multivan, it was fed a sacrificial oil refill & a run before a new filter & refill. Over the last weekend, I travelled from Brisbane to Ungarie and back, around 2300 km total.

Don't laugh at me too hard, but I went to change the engine oil on my wife's mk6 118TSI and drained part of the gearbox oil by mistake. The car is a MY13 and hasn't been started since but I need to work out how to refill...
