Hi Peeps,
I'm after a rear hub nut for a 1991 VW Golf (Cab), part No N01-116-71 which is a M16 nut with 1mm thread. The only ones available are in Melbourne and at least 3 days away. I've asked Pete from Mk1 Mechanical.

Identify Nut
Probably a longshot but can anyone identify where this 10 mm nut could be from? It was in the undertray when I removed it to change oil. Smooth back, no serations. Can't find any thing loose or obvious spot for it. Could have flicked up off the road but very clean.

Very old VW nut!
Am I the oldest VW nut on this forum? Born 1940! First 1957 Beetle bought in 1963. I've lost track of how many VW's myself and wife have had. Now we have two Golfs - 1.4tsi and 2.0 tdi; both dsg's - the only concession to age!

Wheel lock nut adaptor
Does anybody know where I can get a replacement lock nut adaptor. I tried two different VW parts suppliers but they don't sell them anymore.
Mine are the 13 spline type part number 8D0 601 139 F 002 or WHT 003 319 A 002
If any one has a spare or known where I can get...

TDI Front LH Ball Joint Clonk
For a while now I have had a clonk coming from the LHF suspension. It would only manifest under certain conditions.
Previously I had placed a crowbar under the wheel when I had it on a jack to change the oil. It didn't heal itself so another look revealed movement in the balljoint area when gripping...

rear hub nut size/torque
Just wondering if anyone knows the size of the rear hub nut. Is it a 36mm double hex like the front? Is it a reusable nut - it wouldn't have to be a one use like the fronts would it? torque spec?

GTC GT-CX Lock Nut?
Hi team,
I am currently running my GTC GT-CX without a lock nut because I could not fit the key onto the nut to screw it in.
I also had some temporary lock bolts that I got from a wheel shop but have been told they are the wrong ones (i think they are ball seat).

polo 9n3 gti driveshaft/hub nut torque spec
Well on the final step of my LSD/box install I managed to stuff up. Every single item I worked on I had the torque spec for all except for the hub nut and it was that that I stuffed up. It stripped and now I have to do a driveshaft job all over again. The nut was ok but its threads were full of driveshaft...

Hey
Just bought a red Tiguan 132TSI with SatNav and not much else. Plan to add reverse camera and possibly chip it hopefully to get rid of the hesitation off the line. Wouldn't mind a GTI steering wheel and front seats but not sure of compatibility. Have noticed it is quite reluctant to change down from...

mk3 vr6 shifter loose
yo, just wondering if anyone knows if im missing somthing from my shifter linkage, the bolt as you see below slips through a bracket and is tightened by a nut on the otherside or beneath if looking from above. anyway it slides across the bracket with the bolt and nut tight therefore links straight to...

OEM Talladega 19x8J rims (set or individual)
Hi All,
Up for sale are my Sciroccos Talladega rims. They were on the car for about a month when I first got the car in January 2012 according to my posts on this forum.
So they have roughly 500km’s on them and then were boxed up and stored in the garage for later use...

So I'm driving home hear an awful rattle and skids. Get to an island on the side of the road. Hop out and look. The steering tie rod end is off the wheel and sitting on the road. Attached to the rack still.
anybody know the nut size. Thread size etc so I can get a new one. I know it...

WTB/Borrow Upper strut nut socket, 21/22mm. (Brisbane)
Hi all i have just installed front coil overs into my MK2 golf and I'm really struggling to get these tightened properly and of course realised i don't even have the right tools for the job. So wanting to buy a upper strut nut socket to tighten the nut without the allen key in the middle spinning. And...
