  • Nut size and thread tie rod end steering

So I'm driving home hear an awful rattle and skids. Get to an island on the side of the road. Hop out and look. The steering tie rod end is off the wheel and sitting on the road. Attached to the rack still.

anybody know the nut size. Thread size etc so I can get a new one. I know it should be a nyloc but don't know the size.

would these be disconnected if you remove the motor?

    thanks

    Thread specs are 12mmx1.5mm.

    Genuine part number is N90635001

Possibly may have been undone for engine removal. Honestly, once you've pulled a few motors out of these, you soon work out what you can leave in. You can leave the rack, struts and hubs still attached and in the car. So may have just been someone unfamilliar with the product, and slightly careless. Worth persuing with the repairer, though.
