Recently the iPod became very noisy, like a radio station with bad reception. Have tried another iPod with the same noise present.
Analogue radio, SD card audio quality is fine...

I have a conundrum with my father-in-law's MY15 Jetta, which still has the old RNS510 (ssd version, I think) and the MDI in the glovebox. They have an old iPod, which they would like to connect via the MDI.

I thought this would be an easy task because I had purchased the correct MMI Media-In...

I believe my RCD510 has had the media in/mdi box retrofitted as there is a box wrapped in foam underneath the head unit with the MDI cord running to the glove box.

Unfortunately, when using the media in function, whether it be iPod or USB, the sound coming out of the left speakers is "incomplete"...
