I am trying to find the correct oil to purchase for a 1.9TDI AXR engine.

Supercheap oil selector in store comes up with Castrol Edge 5W-30 LL which has manufacturer approval 507.00 (from VW)

I thought I was supposed to use 505.01 but can't find it anywhere.

I know that this is dangerous and would like to know what is VW's responsibility since the tyre has only done approx 4000 kms.
