Golf 1.4 compression issues
Hi All,
I am a new member to this forum and am looking for assistance/advice/suggestions with respect to my wife’s 2012 118TSI GOLF which has low compression on 2 cylinders (causing rough idle and occasional loss of power). Have you had experience getting VW Australia to cover the rebuild cost?...

MK6 118TSI no compression in cylinder 4
Hi all,
My 2012 Mk6 118tsi Golf with 77,000 km has been idling rough the past few weeks. I took it to a mechanic yesterday who found there was no compression in cylinder 4. After reviewing a few threads here it sounds like its a very common issue.
I have reached out to VW Australia...

0 Compression cylinder 2
Hi all, picked up a bit of a project. Car has the 2.0t AXX motor and is showing 0 compression in cylinder 2. Initial thought was valves so I have started by taking the intake off. Joined the forum in the hope of discussing with people their experience of getting the engine replaced out of warranty. My story is that my engine has blown, 2 cylinders with no compression even though...

self destructed
Set off with friends for a trip through western Qld. Had my T4 diesel serviced including the replacement timing gear. Having travelled 6000k and almost reaching Mooloolaba on the way home, the motor just ceased to function. Not seized, just no compression on any cylinder. I just hope that it is covered...

Compression test
Ok so I performed a compression test today on my MK5 Gti.
The test was performed on a hot engine, with throttle open and fuel pump fuse removed.
My results were 190-195psi across all cylinders. Wet test was 235-240psi across all cylinders.
Now I was thinking because of the increase...

Off throttle - the car seems to continue to fuel itself
Hi,
I wasn't sure how to title this, and I'm really struggling to think of how to describe it.
Manual Mark 6 GTI 33,0000km 2.5 years old.
I'm noticing that when driving along with some throttle (in moving traffic) when I get out of the throttle (no application...
