Am currently working my way through front suspension and was wondering if anyone has changed the bushes in the upper control arm. Have watched an aotodoc video where he is doing it from head height on a hoist and it looked like a nightmare, I hate to think what it would be like...

I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of other members re: front suspension noises that I've had on and off with my car, whether a Passat B8, or other MQB chassis cars (including Skodas!)

I'm trying to resurrect this old syncro....lots to do.

One of the previous owners has "liberated" the syncro drivetrain so that part will be the biggest challenge. For the next few years I'll be happy to get it back to being comfortable and reliable....

I just bought a mk7 R. 100km. When going slow over speed humps or into drive ways theres a creaking sound underneath? Mostly on the drivers side. Could this be bushes or top mounts? Any help on this would be great, its driving me nuts.

After a set of poly FARB bushes for a stock 20mm bar. Nolathane/Whiteline don't do them (22mm only), SuperPro are out of stock and Powerflex are stupid money from the UK.

I'm eventually going to do the whole R32 spindle conversion on my Bora however my LCA bush has given up and needs replacing urgently.

Rather than doing the same job twice. I'm thinking I can use the R32 LCA with my stock Bora 4mo ball joint and spindle now...

Pretty much exactly 2 years after selling the last one, I've picked up a nice tidy white, ex Japan, 07 with about 88k on the clock. Planning to use this as my daily and reserve the 335i for the longer trips, which hopefully means less frequent repair related wrenching and wallet denting
