What tyre setup is everyone running?

Im looking to upgrade from 245/35/R19 from stock 235/40/R19 (8jx19 rim) I see on forums that this is possibly the max I could do on stock rims (potential to upgrade rim to 8.5j in future)

The 2018 7.5 GTis came from factory with Bridgestone Potenza S001 225/40 x 18. This tyre has apparently been deleted from the Bridgestone range. For any new Golf GTi owners out there what tyre make and model did your car come with from factory?

Choosing a tyre is not easy, as you cannot exactly try before you buy. You rely on feedback from forums such as this & tyre reviews, which can be either truthful or not.

Since I bought my Passat I have gone through 4 sets & are on the 5th. These are the tyres & my experience...

Found a spare Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyre in the garage, it would have enough tread for another few thousand kms i'd imagine. If someone wants it then free to a good home, pickup from Thornlands (evening) or Richlands during the day.
