Hi guys,
I've been a Golf MK8 owner for a few months now, and the car is great overall. However, there are a few features I think are missing, especially given that they are standard in other brands at a similar price range:

Poor heavy braking performance after replacing the front pads
About five months ago I had my front rotors machined and I replaced the front pads on my B7 Passat alltrack. Since then the braking performance has declined considerably and its driving me crazy. I replaced the front pads with Bendix euro plus pads thinking they were good, has anyone else been through...

Emergency Braking
Hi Guys,
Bit of an annoying issue with my new 7.5 Golf R.
When leaving the driveway, the car sometimes slams on the brakes and stops. Appears to not be an issue IF there is mild acceleration / brakes are already applied but sometimes between accelerating and braking the...

New member from Sydney
Hi all.
Recent owner of a 2015 Golf R. Love driving it. Best and fastest car I've owned.
Looking to change wheels as it's already got vwr springs on it. And braking components before even touching the engine.
Love detailing as well.

Auto braking in reverse gear
Hi there, I was reversing the other day and a car moved behind me. I'm not sure whether the auto braking saved me or I jammed on the brakes as a reflex action...it happened so quickly. Does the Tiggy Emergency Braking work in reverse as well? I have a 132TSI, Black with DAP and LP.Last edited by martinnw; 16-01-2017, 12:33 PM.

103tsi brakes
Skoda (and Volkswagen) seem unusually coy about the size of the brake rotors fitted to non-VRS models.
I would be interested to know the relative sizes fitted to my Octavia and the equivalent(ish) Golf wagon but my usual sources do not have this info.
Reason is that I have 17inch...

Braking Issue?

So after a bit of driving in my polo I have found one little thing that may be an issue. It has happened twice now when braking at low speed (less than 10kph).
When I brake there is this noise, it is hard to explain but it is like when you peg a playing card to a...
