Hi all,

I've got an 02J waiting replace an 02A in a Mk3 VR6. I've been told the 02A starter motor won't work, however when looking for a starter to suit the 02J it also states it fits the MkIII VR6 2.8 so I'm assuming that would be vice versa.?

I'm slowly getting my act togeather for the 1.8T conversion, but have discovered some issues swarting my plans.
I was planing to use the 02R gearbox out of the polo GTI I picked up but it has nowhere to mount the rear bracket for the mount, Im not keen on dodgying...

Up for sale is my reconditioned 02A gearbox with Peloquin LSD - $1600. This has only done 6000-odd kms since complete new bearings, seals and Peloquin LSD installed. I am only selling this because I have installed a new gearbox with a more motorsport-oriented (and less streetable!) plate-type Kaaz Limited...

This gearbox is a leftover from my old build; its been reconditioned with new seals and bearings with the adition of a Peloquin diff and a 4.24 r&p for closer gears.

2nd hand 02a ~ $300?...

Got stuck in the eastlink tunnel last week. I went to change gear and I lost all drive, no gear would select.
I feared the worst but it seems that after a fiddle around it may be a problem with the gear selector and not the gearbox (thank god).
I've been able to get the gears in sort of....

Just landed a crate from the UK with an ABF and this sucker.
I'm going to be using an 020 for my conversion so don't this anymore.

Box is from a 1997 Mk3 GTI 16v..
