I thought i might show you guys my model car collection. Now i know there not VW's but since Porsche now owns almost 30%(controlling interest) of VW it could be a fitting time.

Its taken me around 12 years to collect all these models. Nearly all are 1:43 scale and made by Minichamps. Most of the cars are from limited edition sets from Porsche themself. I've got no idea how many there is but if you want count them from the photos please let me know. I've run out of space and am currently trying to find a matching cabinet.

Recently i have just started collecting Minichamps Ducati Motorcycles. There is one also signed by Troy Bayliss along with scaled down Replica helmet.

Oh yeah if your wondering that is a Porsche 996 Turbo wheel sitting next to the cabinet.

Nah Dom. There my brothers collection.

I used to collect & make Ferarri models but they have been stored away for a very long time now. There been estimated at more than a few gorilla's due to the rarity of some of them.

Here are those badges Dom. Brought new from VW Motorsport around 15 years ago.

Nice Gpk. Just like the 40 year old virgin says you've got to keep the collectables integraty by keeping them in the original packaging. Your sitting on gold!!!

I can tell you the hardest thing about collecting models is finding room for all the boxes they come with.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAH,you made me laugh!!! love that movie! all the really good stuff is untouched/unopened and away from natural light.but I doubt burago are going to be collectable in the future.what do you think?
I know its not a vw but I do have a original tamiya senna mclaren mp4 f1 model 1/20 scale, still untouched.think thats worth anything?

I'm not sure the Burago model will be worth enough to set up your own stereo shop but the Senna model might give it a nudge. I've got a limited ediion Senna in a go-cart lurking up the backof the cabinet. Not sure if you can see it or not.

I did notice a while ago ,there is a guy on ebay usa that opens old hotwheels(very carefully) airbrushes some mad designs and seals them again.gets over $40usd for them.
collecting cars is a part time hobby.my collecting heart is with 1900's jewellery and tobbacciana.you are so right that you need alot of room for the car collecting hobby, which I dont have!
