Saw a Mk3 VR6 at the hobby shop and was really really tempted to get it.
      Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.

great idea - trying to get a collection of 1/43 golfs - just need the mk2 now.

also been collecting other vw dinky toys , rc cars and slot cars which is where the funds currently go rather than the real one!

Not sure if there'd be much traffic for a dedicated forum. The vortex model section moves really slowly and they've got 309000 members.

                    I've got a bit of a collection.

I work in a hobby store, so I order wayyy too many cars.

Tamiya V5 Golfs can be found on ebay pretty frequently. I managed to get a NIB tamiya mk4 golf 1:10 electric RC last week from ebay for $200. Completely unbuilt from 1997

I don't p[ost on the Vortex Models forum because it's not restricted to Watercooled VWs.

Aussieveedubbers have a dedicated Model Car Forum, and it is HUGE. I don't post there because it's mainly aircooled.

Sadly not. They've been out of production for several years, but there's always a couple on ebay. Expect to pay $50ish plus postage

The 1:24 plastic model kit has a red MK4 4 door on the box
