Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I did a quick analysis on the lyrics of this song:
Forget the quality, or the lack of in-tune singing, music, audio engineering or the quick, cheap film clip.
The lyrics is what annoys me most. Not because they're bad, but more the moral and meaning behind it.
To sing it and to relate yourself to the lyrics destines you to be a very delusional and ego-centric person.
They are trying to victimise themselves though it's hard to sympathise about them. The verse is meant to be that. However, the chorus's lyrics is just chucking that sympathy in our face, as to say 'I'm such deprived child, no i don't want to wear Kmart clothes.'
They want sympathy, but only to those they choose, from 'hot' people.
I find these lyrics to be un-relatable to alot of young girls, many girls will sing it as a joke, as they did with 'friday', but to those who sing this with conviction that 'this is sooo ma lyf right now!' would not listen to girls who can't sing.
If they push through that as i did, then may god have mercy on us all.
The 2nd verse does has an oxymoron line too:
'Just cos I'm pretty
I have to be dumb
I don't care about wits
Just wanna have fun'
In short, the verse says: 'I'm not dumb, but i don't care for knowledge and would rather fun instead'
Note that 'butt' was used, as 'tits' may not have been developed yet for thier target audience.
Last thing they want is to influence kids into a 'socially' acceptable body-image :/
The chorus does a poor job of trying to make 'hot' people seem like equals to others simply beause they reiterate that they are 'hot'. It's sort of reminiscent of communist dictators everywhere, except in the dictotators case, They're 'Rich and have a full stomach'.
One thing I think everyone should know; When someone uses the word 'but' or in this case 'except', it means 'FORGET EVERYTHING I JUST SAID, THIS IS WHAT I REALLY MEAN'
This is why you don't say 'I'm sorry I ate your cake, but it was soo good!'
It is quite insulting that Miley Cyrus was quoted in the first verse 'I cannot be tamed'. There is a age difference with her and the singers involved, but more to the fact that Miley is much more unlikley to call herself 'hot' and want sympathy.
I'm pretty sure another study was done more recently to find that only 2% of young females can call themselves beautiful. So those who are hating teenage girls evrywhere, remember, this is the loud minority.
Hot Problems - First World Problem.
This took me approx. 45 minutes to analyise and write up. I'm getting better!
