Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.     New Server Time

    So it's been four years of this particular server, but with a few little issues of late I think it's time to move house. This time we are moving to a Sydney based data centre which will hopefully be a little faster and more stable than what we have today.

    The transfer itself could be as early as this weekend, depending on how testing goes. I'll keep you all updated on when it's all happening

    If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

      Hasven't noticed any difference so I guess that's good

        That's the hope!

        Coming out of Australia things should be a little snappier now and image load times should be much much better now because this server is managing much faster transfer rates than the old one (which could have been down to the 'other side of the globe' factor.

        If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

          Seems nice and fast. Maybe thats 'cos there's not too many folks using it yet !

              Yeah, there was a couple of posts made between me giving up on the transfer due to technical issues and it starting working. I can drag them back off the old server, I just haven't had the time to go back just yet.

                  2016 MY17 Polo GTI with DA package. TMD fitted + Weather strip and Snow Screen removed otherwise dead standard.
