I would be putting them under extreme pressure to give you a good price as they would be in dire straits right now , I cannot imagine cars are flying out the doors right now .

I'm thinking there is going to be a big shortage of engines in general as TDI's are on ice? So lots of cars wanting petrol engines.

The VW dealer near me (Hawthorn) is usually very busy with the sales guys out with customers. I've seen noone there the past week and it would be fitting if a tumbleweed blew past. This must be already hurting sales pretty badly. Skoda on the other hand seem business as usual so people probably don't realise they are involved as well.

Ouch! Such a shame. Amazing how powerful media is at controlling people. It's popular now to ridicule VW owners much in the same way as when a football team is beaten or has some controversy in the media.

I think it would be about time that VAG just offered a 5yr warranty across the board. Having said that I coughed up for the extra 2 yrs with my Skoda order and would bet I won't get any of that back. I once paid for the extra year, and had it itemised as a separate item with the extra amount for a Mazda 6. Come pick up time it turned out there was a promo on with free onroads, extra warranty and all kinds of stuff that my sale was eligible for. I got not one cent back.
