  • One of my supposedly normal drive to work...

6:15 I was approaching a work zone, 40kmh. i slowed down, saw a garbage truck, proceeded to change lane while obeying the speed limit and checked all around me (and saw him behind me on the same lane but this clip proved he was between 2 lanes most of the way after turning, pardon me i don't drive between lanes) but by the time i made my move, he had already sped up in work zone so as not to let me change lane but i had crossed half way and had to keep going to keep the traffic moving. obviously his testosterone filled low life soul was not happy to resist from tailgating urges.

the road was damp, sudden braking would take longer, especially in a SUV / UTE / large heavy vehicles. yet the ute driver had no sense of safe distance.

it is not uncommon to hear someone getting hit from the back by a tradie (I may be stereotyping), i know 2 friends rear ended by these type of people.

at 5:50 i actually made an attempt to create a distance by accelerating quick to the speed limit but it proved useless with inconsiderate tradies.

i hope one day he will experience the feeling of being hit from the back driving a car that he loves. and how he holds the steering wheel, if the airbag is deployed that will push his arm to his face in a collision.

Yes they are out there and they breed , as a fellow Qldander I see this a lot . These idiots are hell bent on dominating the lanes with no regard to safety of those around them .

Can you report this knuckle-dragging flog to the police in any way?

There's never a need to tailgate, although I've had much, much larger vehicles than that one do it.

Noticed at one point his partaking of something (possibly liquid) whilst behind the wheel — in many areas that's also an offence.

Maybe the gendarmerie would be interested in the video?
