Shipping car - QLD to NSW

Currently looking at purchasing a car in QLD and I am from NSW.

I am looking at transport options.

Can anyone suggest good freight company that they know of or may have used?

I am tossing up between driving the car down or getting it shipped.

Drive it down — won't cost you any more and it's much more fun.

I'd say depend on what car you are going to buy, if it's a Mk1 I'd ship it down.

There's a number of interstate transport companies who ship cars around. Probably easier if you contact someone local in Sydney and have them consign it as a return trip shipment. If it's driveable you'll have more options in shipping carriers. I had to ship a wreck up and was limited in my choice of carrier because many don't want to have to winch a car up to the trailer.

I used Patrick Autocare to ship my MK2 last year. Good service and not too expensive when shipping from their depot at Brisbane to their depot at Sydney.

Nothing worse than picking up a car to drive home and it breaks down miles from anywhere.
