Well Big Kudos to him then, not the best thing for his staff to do that to a customer car but really out of his control. In the end he can only trust them to do the right thing until they break that trust like in this case and I'm sure they wont be working there much longer.
That he made it right without the need for you to mention or show the video first is a very big tick to his character and rep for doing the right thing by the customer and I'm sure he is actually happy to have the evidence to show to his boss.
I would make sure you mention this to the dealer principal who by all accounts will probably contact you personally as the service manager has done the right thing and it deserves to be acknowledged as I would think most would just say it didn't happen here mate you must have done it.
