Delayed Mail from USPS

Wife ordered something about 2 weeks ago, was sent USPS and it came on monday, was shocked to say the least. just over a week from payment to delivery

how long do you get to claim a missing parcel?

I had to wait 30 days before I could claim with Summit racing.

I suspect they're claiming recompense from USPS or an insurer.

Sellers says its due to the massive increase in shipping to AUS and NZ cause of our strong dollar

This is the most likely and realistic reason for the delays.. typical to blame the other links in the supply chain but the truth of the matter, most humans err on Price then Service... and USPS provides an affordable service compared to competitors such as UPS etc. I personally prefer UPS, primarily because they handle the parcels solely and tracked every step of the journey.

That's weird mate, i just tried entering the number into Australia Post's tracking, nothing there either, odd.

Still nothing on mine either, the seller says they've opened a case, gave me some sort of code for it, but i can't do anything from my end.. Australia post say it isn't in the country, USPS say it left the USA - so where is it????
Just hoping it turns up like Dom's stuff did....

2 packages were sent out on the 10th of august...One arrived 25th and the other cleared customs on the 27th...should be delivered today of tomorrow

My seller claimed to have done a lost parcel form 12 days ago, and I did not hear anything.
Contacted the seller today and they haven't even filled out the form yet, fail

This may be relevant to this thread, I receive regular shipping updates at work from my company's freight forwarder, for the last six or so weeks we have been receiving bulletins along these lines.

Airfreight space still tight across USA
Demand for air cargo from all airports across the USA to Australia remains at heightened levels.
Severe delays are still predicted for the next few weeks, with space particularly tight in transit ports of Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore.

Could explain the situation.

Yeah I have a couple of customers screaming for parts and I can't get them.. Very, very furstrating.

i really need a wheel alignment too, but i dont want to get it now, knowingly i will be pulling the suspension out soon
