  • Recommend me some TV Shows

I'm sure I asked this a while back but can't seem to find the thread... so here we go again.

I travel to and from work on the train so have an hour each way to kill each day and have been watching various TV shows. Problem is I'm running out of stuff so am looking for recommendations on what I can watch now.

    I have watched so far:

    Red Dwarf
    The Young Ones
    Scrubs
    That 70's Show
    That 80's Show
    Family Guy
    The Simpsons
    The IT Crowd
    Black Adder
    Monty Python
    NCIS
    Las Vegas

I tried The Office (UK) and didn't like it...

I'm thinking maybe CSI or something along those lines but am keen to get other ideas.

So what do you watch and recommend?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Had the exact same conversation with RayRay last week. Nothing is good now days.

I started watching "Doll House" before I got busy. But for past year I have been on/off watching "Terminator- the Sarah Connor Cronicle", I kinda like it.

You can always try "2 and half men"

My sister is begging me to d/l Ugly betty season 4.

Season 5 of "weeds" is back. I am waiting for more bandwidth.

Penn & Teller - Bullsh|t. (That's the actual title -sorry for fooling the filter )

It's a debunking series off the showtime network in the US.

Best TV series EVER is Jekyll (was only 6 eps, but brilliant!)
Big Bang Theory is right up there.
I quite enjoy Burn Notice, Eureka, Two and a Half Men (written by same guy that writes Big Bang Theory).

I can't believe you don't like UK Office - it's the original and the best!

              The Wire
              Oz
              Band of Brothers
              Dexter
              Entourage
              Grand Designs
              Trailer Park Boys
              Eastbound and Down
              Little Britain

My housemates swear by Boston Legal, 30 Rock, and The Mighty Boosh - I'm not a fan (haven't tried Boston Legal though).

                      x3 for Big Bang Theory

                      Arrested Development

I've been buying DVDs off the web, they are getting pretty cheap (but it is amusing to see the logos from the TV stations sometimes on the real cheapies )

Long Way Round / Long Way Down - Ewan Macgregor's motorbiking around the world, a good watch.

Also been watching Criminal Minds, I quite like the new Law and Order UK. Battlestar Galactica is no more... For sci-fi I enjoyed recently watching Firefly (a Joss Whedon show). It's actually pretty amusing, just need to take it in the spirit it was intended. One episode with Christina Hendricks as the captain's wife is brilliant - I nearly cried laughing.
