Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Warranty Procedure and process help needed.

I need to take my T Cross back to VW for a warranty issue. And was wondering if anyone had been through the process of doing so. Are you able to offer any helpful tips on making the process a bit smoother and with a little drama as possible.
Do these things take weeks usually. Are they generally ok about it.
    Cheers

Depends on the dealer and whats wrong with car some are good some are **** Detail everything and maybe supply more info on here as getting a door lock fixed is a bit different to it jumping out of gear or something major If you get what I mean

Pretty much this, depends on the problem, how common (and acknowledged it is) as well as how hard it is to fix.

Even then, I've seen complex things done with zero issues and simple common things fought and lost.

      What's the issue?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
