After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    I've been looking around for a cheap golf mk5 gti as a daily while my motor is getting rebuilt. I came across this advert on gumtree which made me laugh so I thought I'd share...

    Note the Brand New DSG Transmission and the 120,000k's...



    if you are going to claim something in your sales advert its probably best not to put a receipt photo up that says your car has done 200,000k's and has a 2nd hand transmission...

      funnily enough i wasn't that interested after i read the ad so i cant' quite recall the value, 8.5k i think...

            Is there such a thing as 19" GTI rims? They'd be reps wouldn't they?

            $8.5k for a 15yo car is a bit nuts.

            This Octavia Vrs manual for $5900 might fill the bill.

            I can fit a set of 225s across the back with room for tools, jacks and fuel cans and still have room for 5 pax.

              thanks mate, that VRS does sound like a good buy. i'm back to the UK on Friday for two weeks so don't have much time now but will see if its still on the market when i get back...
