Simon's VW R36

Hey guys,

Just upgraded from a Subaru Forester with a ton of modifications.



Bought my self a white R36 wagon with 65k on the clock.
It is such a beautiful car to drive and I only wish I would have bought one earlier.
I am looking at doing a tune and DSG remap with DNA and maybe later one some wheels.
Any who no to much to show as it is only stock.

Welcome! I was talking to the previous owner of my R36 today and he was telling me how much he missed it and how much he hated his new Forrester XT...

Haha yea it's a completely different feeling driving the R36. I don't know if I could go back to the forester.

Nice foz. Im just made a similar switch, had an 06 wrx and a 92 rs lib... both tastefully modded
Would be tough to go back, even to a current model subaru, for me it was a toss up between a Sti liberty wagon and R36 wagon, after driving both the VW won haha

Thanks mate. Yea I was looking at a Lib STI but you don't get that much for your money. Also then there would be no reason to sell my foz. Hopefully catch up with a few guys at a meet or something

So today i received my tune from DNA Tuning. I wasn't expecting a massive change as it is an NA engine but wow. The mid range torque has increased which is quite noticeable. Overall I have only had the tune for a day but I am happy with the results. Ill see how fuel economy goes with a few tanks put through it. I was looking at a DSG tune but mine cannot be read by the tuning software so ill wait and see if I need it.

I just emailed John their Melbourne supplier and he came to me. Lovely guy. He downloaded the factory tune one day sent it off to the UK then had the tune ready to upload a day later.
