I can never get my head around why people do what your doing.
Wouldnt a civic be cheaper? Why not spend it on engine mods or a mean sterio or at least a set of wicked rims or some sweet body work? How can you not see that the kit doesnt compliment or improve on the design of the car? What benefits are there from it apart from impressing yourself and 12yr olds?
Fair enough its what you want, but I have never understood why.
Maby a good paint job and an excelent stance will make it look decent.MK1 GLS 3door

same thing is why do people put a R32 kit on a GTI ect. Its all about modifying some people have different ideas then others. i took nothing constructive from what you said and see no point to the **** you just dribbled. At the end of the day im not here to impress anyone its my car i do what i want with it and i aint going to change it so just a certain few like it.Originally posted by Spyda View PostI can never get my head around why people do what your doing.

Looks heaps better painted. I actually don't mind it.Originally posted by 83_SUS View PostSo an update: Picked her up yesterday arvo from getting all the parts painted and it looks awesome. very very pleased and happy with it all. The guys at PJ Customs did an unreal job as usual. Still have to get and fit my hella celis headlights and get the new muffler fitted this week sometime but here are a few photos:

How does the front bumper bolt up. I mean factory ones bolt up to the radiator support behind the grille but your grille appears to be part of the bumper. Am I missing something?
Is the shark fin functional or a dummy?
I think spacers would enhance the kit some more.
Good work for doing something different!
I find that a bit harsh. Not everyone wants the same thing as the mainstream R32 kit. I actually applaud the idea of doing something different.Originally posted by Spyda View PostI can never get my head around why people do what your doing.

Also Rieger wouldn't make it if there wasn't a market for it.Mk IV Golf GTI - BMP - GIAC chip, R32 wheels, KW coilovers, rear swaybar.

I dont see how its being different if heeps of people have the same kit slaped on a standard car. I realy hate it when people do a 'Fast n the Furious' and call it different and unique.MK1 GLS 3door

was thinking about doing it but then thought it might keep some character and they always seem to get scratched with females and there ringsOriginally posted by 2000MN View PostIt's getting there!
Certainly looks alot better compared to the original kit. Thought about colour coding the door handles??

I never had a problem with my colour coded handles ever getting scratched or marked by my partners rings ect, but behind the handle on the actual door was a different story, finger nail marks were evident.Originally posted by 83_SUS View Postwas thinking about doing it but then thought it might keep some character and they always seem to get scratched with females and there rings

1. If you were a true gentlemen, you would open the door for themOriginally posted by 83_SUS View Postwas thinking about doing it but then thought it might keep some character and they always seem to get scratched with females and there rings
2. If they have been around long enough to open the door themselves, make sure you don't give them a ring to scratch it...

Okay, so you don't actually use the 3 other original holes at the base of a factory grille.Originally posted by 83_SUS View Postfor those who wanted to know the front bumper is mounted like this where the grill used to be

So instead of 7 bolts, you use 4.
I reckon you could even out the gap between the bonnet and grille, but lifting your bumper reinforcement (reo) slightly on one side.
What I mean by this, is leave the screws that go between reo and radiator support (RS) and loosen 3 of the 4 larger bolts that hold the reo and lift on one side, then tighten.
Will lift the entire RS and enable better line up with your new bumper.
Not sure if you knew this already but the uneven gap was something I noticed.
Looking very sweet, can't wait to see future progress!Mk IV Golf GTI - BMP - GIAC chip, R32 wheels, KW coilovers, rear swaybar.
