Non VAG content...My 2008 Subaru Liberty GT (Tuned by STI)
Fair point but they just dont do anything for me. I have a young child so do need a back seat occasionally plus handy to be able to put the dog in and take her to the beach etc for a swim in summer.
Fair call. The only reason I haven't bought a Falcadore ute is lack of room for the dog & GF at the same time.
Congrats on the new car but isn't it a bit dejavu?
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
Nice work! The GTI Performance or the ED40 are the ones to get. Personally I prefer these over the R as they're a lighter and more engaging drive.
Sadly the ED40 was out of my desired budget (didnt realistically want to spend more than $25-30k). Started looking around $20-22k and couldn't find anything I liked, so bumped up the budget a bit. Got this one for $27.5k with 48,000km.

Yes a little dejavu - especially being another white GTI. Realistically I wanted a well optioned red or silver GTI in manual..........but would have been searching forever as there are so few manuals around and so few well optioned GTI's. And with COVID restrictions still in place, I decided to try and shop locally. Found this GTI about 20 mins away so it was handy, in decent enough condition with service history etc, and priced well - so grabbed it.
I would still have preferred a manual gearbox, but am starting to enjoy the DSG (I drive in manual mode all the time mind you).
