Diesel hybrids will be next if anything, and the diesel part quickly downsized to zero is my guess.
Thus my comment about not holding one's breath Greg.

I think we're stuck with DPFs as long as we have diesels, the lifespan of which I believe has been shortened by Dieselgate. The way things are moving, I believe the writing is on the wall for diesels.

Yeah, that's what many people mainly use the internet for.
Playing the online games and complaining.

The writing is on the wall for fossil fuels in general. By 2030 all cars on the rd will be electric.

Yeah, keep dreaming. I've heard that they'd like to have all cars electric by 2030 but they can't/don't want to push it. I guess it's the same planing like that one way trip to the Mars, which is now decades away.

Oh, and just less than 5 years ago, the mining of the moon surface was predicted by 2020, who knows how these plans are going.

Mate of mine is in the Oil Drilling part of fossil fuels and he tells me that it will not happen any time in our future as the back lash from the driving public will prevent it happening . Plus there are enormous environmental concerns with Lithium Batteries in regards to disposal and contact with water etc.
