    Do you think an agreed value insurance policy would be cheaper plus you would need the before and after photos to convince the company it's not a real rust bucket

      It looks so convincing after the wrap has been done , people would look twice . Mate of mine here in Brissy does this sort of work , he did the state of Origin Buses over the last few years . He did a great job on our new T5 a couple of years ago . Brushed Silver alloy .

          Well that looks like moulds that have been fitted to reduce lower body damage whilst off road , I would imagine it could be wrapped or painted that way to achieve the same look . At least with wrap you can remove it easily if it becomes too damaged , paint would be a pain as once its got a few holes it would probably start to come away . If I were going down that road of protecting the lower body maybe some of that stuff they apply to the lower sills on some cars , its like a soft coating that they paint over it reduces stone chips apparently .
