Have you had any issues or glitches with the RNS install sharkie? VWA told me that there's a wiring issue and they can't be fitted to a T5GP after the fact... yet

You should ask them "what issue", maybe they were still thinking T5 before the facelift?

I'd like to fit RNS510 into my T5 and that would require some wiring and canbus changes. So, I'll probably leave it as is, since the T6 can't be that far.

Cheers for that, yeah it was mainly the coding that I was inquiring about as I figured you need specialist knowledge like sharkies to do it. I have the mf wheel and mfd to account for so forewarned is forearmed I suppose.

Just dropped a rcd510 from my golf into the MV these are alot easier to use with MDI than the 310, picked this up on ebay for $280 not bad if you dont want the navigation.

i am interested in doing this to my 2011 MY12 Multivan. I want to have sat nav and possibly DVD player. Should I be looking at RNS 510?

Since u guys mentioned something about T5GP and T5.2 etc model number, what does that mean? And what category would my car fall into?

                        Cheers

                          RNS510 for 2010 caravelle

                          Hello,

We have just bought a 2010 Caravelle. It came with a standard RCD210, and I would like to replace it with something better, hopefully a RNS510.

I am new to this, a a little confused with some of the terms used here. My van does not have a multi-function steering wheel (unless you count left and right AND beep-beep!). While the display is white it does not have any menus that I have found besides trip computer functions. The vehicle has a DSG transmission. Is my vehicle a T5.2?

As mentioned I would like to replace the RCDS210 with a RNS510. I would also like to retro-fit bluetooth, and perhaps a reverse camera. The question is, is this possible? Other posts here seem to indicate that the RNS510 can be fitted to post June T5s, but mine is earlier (Compliance date is March 2010).

                          What are my options here?

                            Recommended installers

                            Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good installer for a RCD510 and bluetooth 9W7 module (bought from bluewagen on ebay) for a brand new Multivan (just came with a RCD310)....not to confident in doing it myself...

I am still looking to buy the RCD510 any recommendations of ebay sellers?

                            cheers

Marty at FHRX. Their work is unbelievable. It is worth the drive.

I'm juggling work commitments trying to arrange to finally drop my van there for a "serious" upgrade
