Okay I would now like to thank all those who posted suggestions , it's nice to see people putting their thinking caps on to help other VW owners problems when a problem occurs , I am also sure others read the post and were not sure what the problem was and decided to wait and see what happened, to those also thank you for at least reading . Oh in case anyone's wondering the old T4 vacumm valve had two outlets so I fitted the screw into the spare hole to prevent loss of vacumm . When I first took off up the road after the new connection was made in my mind I thought how could such a small hose make such a huge difference , thirty metres up the road when the Turbo started to make its magic happen again I had a grin across my face that lasted for quite a while .
