A friend of mine has a sign business , he does a lot of this wrapping process for customers and tourist buses as well . I remember when the T5 was first released they had a display of VW commercial vans at the Southbank Piazza in Brissie that were done , the only problem was the closer you got the worse it looked as there were bubbles around inside corners and around the door openings and handles it was peeling . Looks good if done correctly but all this stuff has a limited lifetime .I also saw this Youtube clip when I found the air ride one . Howard

If installed by a good installer, and good material used, it should not lift or bubble. Surface prep is also important.

But in long run it would be like the window tint, eventually it bubbles and lifts even on areas where you never touched it. Still looks good and it's the kind of black that I would accept on my van.

I agree it's best done on a brand new vehicle.

You dont want to have a black van as they dont exist and the Oz sun would make it very hot!!!

            Could not resist sorry!!!

The carbon looks very cool, in my opinion.

Hmmmmm. yes if it was not installed properly or it was crap film. The 3m and avery films require the film to be heated to a certain temperature after it is pressed into the corners and curves etc, and then the film has no 'memory' of being flat. It then has the memory of the curve. The only time it would lift then is the surface was not prepped properly.
I have seen window tint that has been on cars for over 10 years, and there was no lifting.....and then I have seen crappy tint jobs that does lift.
