Mine has worsened. On long runs on a motorway, it seems the same. Driving around town, it is now 1.5l/100km worse.
Do you notice in manual mode how it doesn't want to change out of 1st gear? I push the stick up and it doesn't want to engage 2nd. but I'll do it again at the same revs next time and it will. Can't seem to find if it's a flat or hill etc that causes it but I can't see a pattern. It's just like it doesn't think it should change out of 1st so it won't let me. shrug...MY11 Multivan 132kW 4Motion, Natural Grey, Fog lights, Multifunctional Steering Wheel.

Are you referring to, put the car in manual (1st gear), then keep the foot planted on the accelerator until it changes into 2nd gear by itself....yeah?
**EDIT** I just tried mine, and it changed from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd at approx 4800 rpm by itself, and, I can change up and down via the stick or the steering wheel paddles.Last edited by Guest; 16-02-2012, 11:15 AM.

Here,s the answer to this "Quote" [It's just like it doesn't think it should change out of 1st so it won't let me. shrug... ] Its a gear box with a brain , the problem is that it is subject to whats known as "Brain Fade" its all part of the wonderful world of high tech we now are living with . The old days were so much simpler 3 speed autos that could be thrashed to death and they still changed when they were supposed to , if you wanted more speed just plant the foot and a mechanical device connected to the throttle body would change down a gear for you . Now days we wonderful electronics which think for you and they do what they have sometimes been preprogrammed to do so you are at the mercy of some engineers nightmare [and we all know ]that if you have a fairly current one that it needs to be reprimanded by a computer at your dealer to get the thing to do the right thing "Just Wonderful " Howard . Yes I still love our T5,s just not the technology !!!!!

Amarok with 8 speed pleeeease were will it end I would be happy with the old Holden Powerglide box that was a very simple 2 speed auto . At least the old Powerglide could handle a V8 without problems , and it was the favoured box for drag racers .
