Most people tend to forget / not know that the $2000 includes a warranty on the engine and drivetrain that no other tuner offers.

How much is you engine worth if it blows up due to a bad tune ?

Personally I'd pay the $2K just for that peace of mind.

The warranty is included in the $2000 with the Oettinger tune.

I just called into a place at brookvale, eurosport?? I think that was the name. They gave me a ballpark figure of 1995 for the oettinger tune with full engine and drivetrain warranty. In my 103kw t5.2 it's good for + 23kw power upgrade and + 55nm torque upgrade. They had a few brands of tuning products on offer, but recommended the oettinger one over the others for the warranty. APR was another brand and something else I can't remember. They also quoted 1100 for a basic h&r spring kit fitted to lower the van 30mm....
          Good pricing?

Yeah that's fitted... Roughly 6-700 for the parts and 4-500 for labour, is the transporter user friendly for this kind of work ie DIY, have not done suspension work in years...but my old man is always handy for that kind of stuff with a lot of years in euro cars , Volvo merc etc

Also that place was in mona vale not brookvale. European auto tech in polo avenue.

Sorry to go off topic here OP

                Upgrade

Can highly recommend the upgrade, the extra smooth power and makes the vehicle a sports car disguised as a van with the comfort of a decent warranty.
