Folks when I started this thread, the intention was in relation to the the thread title - specfically the load rated 215 65R16C 104/106T. We seemed to have got 'off the road' a few times with the specfics..

Scott

I couldn't justify being a forum Guinea Pig for the MALAS at $180/pr premium, as doubt I'll see much gravel/snow. $213ea for the MALAS for the record if anyone wanted them. If interested they are designed as a 75/25 (on/off) mix.
These were best prices I found in the Illawarra, but there were limited retailers offering them, so didn't take too many phone calls. I got them at Wollongong Auto Excellence at 4 Glebe Street, Wollongong. Friendly competent service I would recommend to others.
If you get the UE-103's make sure they order the correct load rating, as there are two available in the 215/65R16C

Hi all,
I had 4 new Toyo H08 215 65R16C 104/106T tyres fitted today to my 2008 Multivan. $230 each fitted (from Tyre Power). Great looking tyre pattern and extremely quiet and made in Japan too. Well worth a look if you are considering new tyres.
I was impressed how careful the guys were with not scratching the higher out edge of the rims!
Regards, Scott

I run 215 65 16 Federal econvan's on my t5 transporter and get great milage out of them, anywhere from 100000 to best I've got is 136000. I will admit that is mostly highway work and mostly late night and early morning. We do carry considerable weight but it is a dimimishing load so half the time it is empty. Overall I am happy with them

This has to be of the worst tyre performance I have ever seen on any of my cars ....Current: 2023 MY23 T-Roc R Lapiz Blue + Beats Audio + Black pack 2018 MY19 Golf R manual Lapiz Blue + DAP) 2018 MY18 Golf 110TSI (150TSI) Trendline manual White2014 Amarok TSI Red (tuned over 200kw + lots of extras) 2013 Up! manual Red 2017 Polo GTI manual Black Previous VWs and some others ...

That's pretty bad Sharkie.
I got 57K out of my OEM Dunlops! I impressed so far with the Toyos after two weeks. The Toyo HO8s are supposed to be a good wearing tyre i.e. greater than the 57K I got out of my Dunlops. They really quiet and comfortable and are gripping well whilst bedding in.

Scott
