So you can buy buttons for the Golf like this one:

    CarStyle4you.com - customized switches for your car!, 59,95 €

but is there anything similar available for the Multivan/Transporter?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

I have to ask doesn't your van already have back lit switches ? Our base model T5.1 admitedly only has one switch on the dash below the radio but it is back lit in red from factory .

Yep, looking to add in an extra button to open the garage door so I can hide the controller under the dash. Just like this one I did in my Mk6 using the link above:

Adding an additional button to your MK6 (The Button Mk2) Remote Garage Door Open

I haven't been able to find anything with custom images at all yet, but maybe plan B is to find another random factory button and install that to do what I want even if it doesn't have the right picture on it. At least it would still look nice and clean.

Something like one of these would be OK. This picture is from an aftermarket supplier of sliding doors, but I wonder what the cost of the factory button might be... Will have to look up the part number and see. Or maybe see if I can find a wrecked one I can liberate one from.

            Thanks for the reminder!

I haven't made the time to have a good look around for this yet, although I'm sort of keeping an eye out. I should head to a wrecker and have a poke around one day... Really it doesn't matter what is on the button or which position it sits in, just that it's there.
