New update
Hi guys, had a top weekend and finshed it off with going to the RACQ motorfest which ended up with my wife wanting an MG, thats pretty good news though as i was brought up with them , roadsters and MGBs several and 2 factory V8s so ill be sent this way very easily. Anyway back to the topic at hand, had a spre hr or so and removed the dash, man these 6n2s have so many hidden screws!!! anyway all good she is out nice and clean. As you can see the Auto pedal set up and the auto shift, make the most of that guys, they are goooone!!! Bit dissapointed with my new pedal box, half of the stuff missing, ah well you get that.

I then spent some some time looking at it as you do, then decide why should i tear out all of the 6n2 ECU loom especially this one as its all looped into the Auto it had, no way what a task and for what?? so ive decided to go my own way and make it all still look stock. New loom location as shown

Itll all tie in very nicely an look Mk4 gti stock. There is a few suprises coming though as my mounting idea has to happen now, got a gun fabricator gonna help me, im making a template and will unstitch the engine mount cradles from a Mk3 subframe and itll all be welded into the 6N2 frame, so itll be as rigid as a mofo. . Front mount instead of a dogbone now too FTW, only thing is how to?? first idea is seeing as i have a lot of Mk3 bits might modify the front crossmember from it and fab it into the 6N2 so it can take a front mount like a Mk3 or ill go the same as a Lupo brother in the Uk and weld in a custom crossmember of my own. Also scored a gun Mig at the weekend so thats gonna be mega handy im sure!!.
Thanks for looking and next episode will be looming up and then a clean up, firewall heat shielding, accel cable, and clutch, all of which must be done before the dash goes back in, oh and i have even more suprises coming in that area!!!
Cheers
