Thanks Gary, good info.
That video of Ari is awesome! Nutter...
Sam, yeh, I'd say you're right about the results of narrower fronts. Yes, I have a limited slip. It's the factory clutch lsd, but with solid steel clutches, and with the preload springs removed such that it only locks up under power - but it locks up very effectively when the right foot is down. Makes it very progressive and predictable/controllable, though arguably slightly less effective and with no residual limited slip effect when off the power.

So its more like a one way now. That'd help with turn in too wouldn't it, not being pushed from behind as you brake into the corner.
Yep Ari is the man. Having had a mk2 Escort and a Peugeot 205Gti its impossible not to be a fan boy of him. You see interviews of him now where he comes across as so cultured, relaxed and very thankful that he survived the Group B era, but jeez put a helmet on him and the nutter emerges. He talks about how he felt that he was no different to a dancer or a composer, that he was an artist and dusty roads were his canvas. LegendLast edited by sambb; 27-06-2018, 02:03 PM.

hmm I know it'd be a good size to run and pretty common but I don't have 16's other than the really heavy stock rims. They will physically fit I think as I'm pretty sure Eddy ran that size.
I called Levens today to see if they had any 215/50/15 second hand mediums and he said try on Monday as he might have some in then. I'm also after a pair of 205/50/15 softs for the front but they are like hens teeth at the moment.Last edited by sambb; 28-06-2018, 05:24 PM.

Yeah I look every day, but don't say too much.
I tried to find some info on them from my Ozvolks threads, but couldn't find. The wheels are sitting on a rack above the Pog which doesn't move too often. So it'll take a bit to find out the off-set Sam. I didn't use spacers with them. They're Compomotive Wheels which are rather heavy & expensive, but strong & never had a problem since going with these.Hooroo.
