      Ok,

We can do 6 cars maximum on a Saturday (will take about an hour a car) - cost would be $75-00 cash for the dyno operator. This will give us time for 3 - 5 power runs per vehicle.

Also we need a "control" vehicle" in these 6 which should be 100% stock.

What would be then good is a vehicle with software only.

Now to get the best data, obviously cars with the same software but different mods to see the difference that the hardware makes.

It would take us about 45 minutes per car to compile the data for comparison & a bit of setting up.

Now if we can work out which 6 cars (including a stocker) - I'll try to find a date.

Also, I don't know if there is a stock Polo GTI in Brisbane anymore (from these forums).

            I'd suggest

            1 x totally stock(
1 x chip only (APR since that is most prevalent in Bne) (in 1 of the runs can add Intake + K&N to see the difference)
            1 x chip + TIP + Intake + K&N (Dave)
            1 x chip + TIP + Intake + K&N + downpipe (tosspot)
            1 x chip + TIP + Intake + K&N + full exhaust
            1 x chip + TIP + Intake + K&N + full exhaust + FMIC (Eddy)

Ideally we'd need to do 2 more cars at least. If we could cut time down to 45min each we could do 8 and then add

            1 x chip + TIP + Intake + K&N + full exhaust + FMIC + K04
and a car with a hybrid combination. (ie. mine ) (Sharkie & Jasn7

Any 1 of these can also be used to test differences a diverter makes.

I am picking up my stocko polo hopefully thursday

If its on a saturday I have to take my son to soccer at the Gold Coast (early morning) and could then cruise up to the dyno.

Would still like to come along to check it out and say gday whether i get it dyno'd or not.

I'd be interested to put yours against one with the same mods... but APR ones that have the R&D behind it - Eddy?

If jfive doesn't come, maybe run a chipped Polo with it switched to stock if we can't get a stock one?

tosspot i spose but sharkie's is the same as mine as well. only diff is back pipe which really from all reports doesnt make too much difference.

I'm also keen to see the research and effects of each product from APR, Jason.

Since I don't really need more than 2 power runs atm, I'm happy to share my berth with you so we can both do 2 or 3 power runs at the end with less data logging than the rest.

I know my car atm (no changes) is 3kw down on Eddy, so would like to see intake temps and mixtures on it.

Eddy will be in (date dependant) and we have to keep it to six cars or we wont achieve what we want to achieve (and we will try to do 5 power runs to see the effect of heatsoak!):

                            From Dave's sig...

APR, Seat Intake, Whiteline RSB, Forge TIP, FSB & BOV, K&N Filter, APR Dogbone, EBC Greenstuff, Martini fluid ++ to come
Shane's is rather stock, only intake and filter (power wise).

What about that red beast Guy?

Its easy enough for Dave on the day to fit stock diverter and stock intakes for a few runs and then refit the Forge BOV and SEAT intake and K&N.

Would make a good comparison as to how effective the SEAT intake and K&N actually is.

From a performance point of view Dave's is probably closest (easiest to get to) to chipped only.

I would like to try stock diverter, my Forge replica and R1 on the day to see any differences (if any)

Also, Shane's car has a Forge TIP, which is too difficult to change quickly.... so as a stock car his is probably out.... may be worthwhile seeing his other mods' worth though....
