  • Offer to Brisbane Polo GTI owners

    Gent's,

In light of all the different dyno figures everyone see's around the country & the zillion of different questions -

If you can all get together & organise a mini Polo dyno day, with time for several power runs each, we will supply 2 tech's with data logging & diagnostic gear to supply you with all the internal information on what your car is doing.

We can use APR ECU explorer which we can log 30 variables at a time at a rate of 17 samples per second. We spend about a dozen hours a week data logging cars, so its second nature for us.

Now with a smaller group than your average dyno day, all your tyre pressures can be identical & the cars run on the same day.

This will hopefully help some people understand the difference in timing pull, fuel quality, intake / exhaust temps, boost pressure drops, intake gains, heat soak etc.

We would also be very happy to hold a technical discussion / questions & answer section about all these results - we should be able to get the data up on a decent size screen with some food & beers to make it a little less "boring science".

Let me know if someone wants to arrange it & we will help co-ordinate.

Obviously central to Brisbane would be best for us - so Mercury, Neumann Garage etc etc would be good starting points for a venue.

    Cheers

    Guy

Sounds like an awesome idea. Don't know if I can organise it or help at all but if I can, let me know. I'll be there, wherever/whenever it is (assuming I'm not busy that day).

Mate not a bad idea. personally id prefer nuemans garage. i think the best thing to do to start off with would be to see who is interested and then go from there ie. date etc.

if i can help guy let me know.

forgot the most important question, who is organising it.

Alex is at the dyno at the moment data logging, so he will ask Paul about group size / saturday possibilities -

I won't have time to organise, but happy to assist on the other stuff!

I second that, wasn't happy with my dyno results so that's the reason haha (shaneth got 5 or 7kw more at Nuemann's a few days later so that'd be great for me )

It was only 2kw which is negligable but i wanted a base line as i want to use neumans anyway.

Im happy to organise unless someone else wants to, either way let me know.

That's like 10% on your car at the moment :p

Personally i think early to mid next month would be good as long as it fits in with the dyno operator.

This is where you need to get other Chip tuning manufacturers in so that you have 1 dyno and a whole lot of different chipped cars, with the exact same mods and go from there to end all chip threads lol.

would it be a bad idea putting a car that hasn't been 'run-in' yet on the dyno?
