Gent's,
In light of all the different dyno figures everyone see's around the country & the zillion of different questions -
If you can all get together & organise a mini Polo dyno day, with time for several power runs each, we will supply 2 tech's with data logging & diagnostic gear to supply you with all the internal information on what your car is doing.
We can use APR ECU explorer which we can log 30 variables at a time at a rate of 17 samples per second. We spend about a dozen hours a week data logging cars, so its second nature for us.
Now with a smaller group than your average dyno day, all your tyre pressures can be identical & the cars run on the same day.
This will hopefully help some people understand the difference in timing pull, fuel quality, intake / exhaust temps, boost pressure drops, intake gains, heat soak etc.
We would also be very happy to hold a technical discussion / questions & answer section about all these results - we should be able to get the data up on a decent size screen with some food & beers to make it a little less "boring science".
Let me know if someone wants to arrange it & we will help co-ordinate.
Obviously central to Brisbane would be best for us - so Mercury, Neumann Garage etc etc would be good starting points for a venue.
Cheers
Guy
