Imagine the next gen Polo GTI with 1.8TSI and AWD ......

Can I place my order now ? ...... just need to sort out the tuning issues with the next gen ECU's and all will be good.....

i seriously doubt an awd polo would make production. an awd audi a1 for sure, but not a polo. but still i hope it does... also since i've just bought a polo, i hope the next model is delayed somewhat

Does anyone know when the next gen polo is coming out? I keep hearing different dates from different sources, some 2009 (end of this year?) some say end of 2010. It worries me as im getting mine's ariving end of the month but then again im not really amused by the what ive seen (renderings of the new polo)
But back to the awd, damn they would be true rockets

VW has confirmed (apparently) at least 1 AWD model in the next Polo range. The next gen is due at the start of 2010 only.

It will only ever be the GTI as well (unless they go to make some R23 version or something).

After owning mine for a few months now, I'm confident that I'll always consider a VW/Audi/Porsche as one of my first whenever I look for a new car.

thats the Polo Cross (similar setup to the Suzuki SX4, small 4x4), i saw heaps of them when i was in france. i'm pretty sure thats all they would put out in our Polo line here, and i think they are only available in TDI. someone correct me if i'm wrong

You can buy that polo in the caradvice link in japan.. saw one a couple of weeks ago while i was over there... they are called a Cross Polo and run front wheel drive and non-turbo petrol engine

Hmmm. you can get the polo GTI in 4 door, but they arrent longer wheelbase just shorter front door.
