Im running the same BOV and inside the car it is louder than what it sounds in the video. Thats with stock boost too, not chipped boost.
Outside the car I dont really know how loud it is but judging by how little road noise there is in the car from all the insulation then I would imagine its loud enough outside the car too.

no thats running 50/50, and no EPC light so far...haha. hopefully it won't come on but if it does i will prob just put the plug in it to change it to full plumbback - the dual port comes with a hardened steel screw-in plug that can replace the trumpet on the one side, converting the BOV to full plumbback.

yeah it is a hell of a lot louder, i wish i had a better microphone on the camera to get a better example...maybe at night! at night the BOV echo's off bloody everything and scares the poo out of everyone.....quite amusing sometimes.

Yeah it's illegal in all states I can think of.

I belive it's to do with emmissions laws. (ie the BOV emmitting air does not comply with E3 specs etc etc)

Give me a screamer and external wastegate anyday. My evo runs 1.8 bar all day long with a stock MR BOV.

Seriously though guys, a guy gets on here with a valid thread, showing all of us a simple modification, that he is no doubt proud of, and he gets sack wacked with a hand full of ****ty comments.
We are all guilty of it at some point(I know I have...), but fairs fair...It was a legit mod, it gives the little Pog a fair bit of presence on the road, and it sounds the business...
It may sound like a fully sic VL Turbo, but it looks a **** tin better, and goes like a scalded cat.

LoriJarrod, all i'm saying is that if you've got a crap comment to make, save it for boostcruising.com or your beloved calaisturbo.com.au, you can get years of it on there. i don't know if you've realised, but this is not what this site is about. i can honestly say that your the first person i have seen on this site that has a made a poor comment towards someone else. i have noticed since owning a VW that no matter what the model, all VW drivers have a high respect for one another. Just maybe LoriJarrod, you're in the wrong car, a Calais Turbo might suit you a little better.

Just bought this Kompact dual port BOV and installed it into my MK4 GTi yersterday evening. It's not very loud even on harder setting. So I've adjusted it to soft setting.
How come my wastegate is louder than the actual BOV?
