I gather i live in a high risk area due to the quote aami spat out for me (almost 3.5k for full comp)

    23 yr old female driver
    Full Comp Insurance with NRMA
    No at fault accidents
    65% NCB
Standard excess that is given by insurer
    Unmodified car

Im paying a yearly amount of $1268 which isnt too bad considering i was paying $920 for an 01 barina.

Change the above to male, I pay $1283. Also around western sydney - where you live plays a BIG part in your insurance premiums.

I used to insure my old car at my brothers place in Epping. The premium was around 30% cheaper because apparently I live in a dodgy area

i am 22yo, live in Surfers Paradise (i think it is high risk??), lost my license for speeding and drink driving along with some other minor offences within 5 years, no insurance history. i pay $850 per year through Rivers Insurance (full comprehensive). this is $200 more than i was paying for my Peugeot 206 GTi.

Thats pretty friggen good...I thought I was on a good wicket. AAMI and Shannons look like the ones to steer clear of.

Shannons have been fantastic for me.

I have no problem paying slightly more (as in like 50-100 bucks)
with shannons because they insure my car for more, free windscreen p/year,
cover on track days (if i ever work up the courage to go) and my excess was HALF of just car

On top of all I have, my at fault excess is still only $400. Was talking to a workmate up here who used to be an insurance assessor for TIO, and was saying that a Lambo Merchialago's full comprehensive insurance up here was only just over $3000 per year on account of the fact that that none of them have been crashed and there is bugger all of them up here. As far as I know, I am the only Polo GTI owner up here...Even so, I was quoted $500 per year for the Ford Fiseta XR4, and there are quite a few of them up here.

AAMI were by far the cheapest for me.

I'd go shannon's for a modified one too.
