Seem to be working at a snails pace but I'm almost there

Couple more water hoses to connect and i can get the front end back on

Had to modify the metal water pipe that run round the block as it was failing on my turbo intake pipe.

Stock one on the right and modified one on the left

I'm new to welding so don't laugh

      After a lick of paint

Also added a take off to the bottom of the turbo intake for the evap system

      Secured the fuel filter

      Couple images of the bay

These were from last night but crap quality but its getting there

      Thanks for looking

        Almost there

Ran into a problem though. The inline filler I got is the wrong size so sending it off to my fabricator whilst I'm on holiday he'll modify it to the correct size inlet and outlet and some small other changes.

Also my callipers were sent off for painting a fews weeks ago and as per usual there were delays so wont get them back till next week. Second year in a row ill be working to the bone trying to get ready for MIVW

              Looks ace.
Are you doing anything to the bonnet/front grill to get some cold air to the intake?
Also, i thin the porsche twists would suit the bigger brakes better. as you can't really see them behind the meshies.

Couple of pics to keep the thread alive.

Next up a trip to Badger 5 to tweak the map to take into account the new head and while I'm there up the boost

So went to Badger5 yesterday to tweak the map to take in to account the new flowed head and up the boost.
I wanted to do a run to find out the improvement with the flowed head so after a run on the dyno it came out at 329.6bhp which was an improvement of 9.4 BHP. However after looking into it we found it was only producing 20psi of boost although it was previously mapped to 22psi and taking an extra 1000 rpm to run up to full boost even though it was the same map from my previous session.

After a bit of logging checking around we noticed the waste gate was cracked open as there wasn't enough tension on the actuator arm. So I rectified this and Bill started the mapping.

I walked out a very happy man with 389.3 BHP @ 6922rpm (335.5bhp at the wheels), 315 lbft @ 6106rpm and this was set at just under 26psi of boost.

Here are a couple of videos
                    The first run

I didn't get the final run but this was one just before at 388bhp

And a couple pics of the graphs.

All I can say is this car is an absolute animal and scary fast to drive and I love it

Holy ***** that's awesome!! Looks like it would be a blast to drive mate! Congrats on the great numbers, traction must be an issue in the first 3 gears now though

Wow that is a amazing number, and people say you can have too much power in a fwd, more power = more fun

I was thinking 320 sounded a little low as people seem to make that number with hybrids these days, 390 is more like it.

Going to try to hit the magic 400hp ?

Defo more fun. Was wet the other day on the motorway and I was in 6th, put my foot down and it lost traction. Tested to make sure it was oil or something on that part of the road and it did it every time I tried

When I initially had it mapped at 22psi I was extremely conservative knowing full well it is good for 28-30 psi and have still left some to play with as it's now mapped to 26psi

I think it would be stupid to go anymore at this time until I can work on the traction issues
