ive got them on mine. the centre grill goes in no problem but ive had problems with the outside ones coming lose i have to kick them back in place everyday when i walk out of work kind of a ritual now hahaha. I did use a die grinder and cut some of the outside honeycombs out looks better and you get that air flowing around more.

just playing around with it at work for a few minutes the middle grill feels like it will take a bit of force and messing around to click in 100% and the drivers side isnt too bad cos it has a screw to keep it in place but the passenger side looks like it will just pop off completely with a few bumps haha
im too lazy to cut up the side grills i think they will look fine i just hope i dont end up pulling the whole front bar off to get them all to click in properly lol

Did a little work on the polo today I installed the superpro dogbone bushing wasn’t too bad to install. Took it around the block and honestly can’t really feel any difference but I’ll see over the next few days.
Also installed the honey comb grills they look longer to install and clip in properly than doing the dogbone haha but they look good and I’m happy with it

Last bushings done changed the sway bar busbes so all bushings in the front end have now been changed to superpro one. The car is feeling a lot better now I noticed the sway bar bushings have made it smoother over bumpy roads so that’s a big bonus.
For some reason tho after changing the strut top covers and bearings and dogbone I’ve noticed a little creaking in the suspension when taking off in first and can’t figure out why checked all bushings and everything even tried the wd40 trick as we shake the car with no luck.
Was thinking any chance the little rubber flex bushing in the dogbone when it pivots can fail? It’s looking a little brittle and that’s the only thing I can think of that could cause it on acceleration. Anyone got some advice?

Unless its a really outrageous sound I doubt you'd have a problem. Once the flex is taken out of the bushes the forces get passed through to somewhere else on the chassis. I must admit I've found the Polo to be the noisiest car I've ever owned in that respect.

After months of stuffing around changing parts spending around a grand on bushings and changing shocks and going to 4 mechanics I finally found the knocking problem. Passenger side engine mount is completely gone testing it out at the shop the whole motor is moving and I think we really destroyed it testing it out putting load on it haha only got really bad over the last few days but luckily sparebox have them for $120 hopefully it’s not too bad of a job to change and that will hopefully make everything perfect again

Job for the day was passenger side engine mount it was cracked all the way around
Had a little issue with the mount bolting up but sorted it out and feels a lot better on that side now but the drivers side one has been destroyed as well so still have some movement but will have to wait till that one turns up next week

Both engine mounts changed thought it was starting to get better but then from cold after 10 minutes of driving I would hear a creaking when I let off the throttle so starting looking today thought I would check the new superpro dogbone mount and I see this.
Only been in the car maybe 3 weeks and it has a nice crack through it. I’m guessing it’s from the other damaged engine mounts but kinda annoying that I’ll have to get another one now the standard one held up like a champ superpro not so much

Unless they tried to press it in with the central sleeve already in place and butchered it before it was fitted? Mines done 80,000km and was driving on a shagged gearbox mount for a while too and looks like the day it went in. That's a bugger man.

Na I installed it myself I think it’s due to my other mounts being broken. Was gonna go with a power flex time but looking online they are sold out so think I’ll just go with another superpro one and hope I don’t have any problems this time

Didn’t bother trying to get a refund seeing as my other mounts were broken that might of caused it but just installed a new one today and straight away I can feel a massive difference it doesn’t move now from changing gears and couldn’t hear that creaking noise anymore from just going around the block so far so good so I’ll find out on my trip to work tomorrow.
My old one was cracked at the top and bottom it was ruined so hopefully this one will last longer and if It fails I’m just gonna go back to a standard mount
