  • Lookin' good Rhys.

I finally got the power cable for the new amplifier through into the cabin (without drilling ) - what a mission. Hopefully I can get more than one thing done next weekend!

to be honest mate it's the best $300 i've spent. the ride quality is noticeably bumpier, which is to be expected with lower stiffer springs, but it's far from unbearable and is actually quite fun. keeping the standard shocks retains that ride comfort for everyday driving.

on to the more important stuff, when taking corners at speed or going through round-abouts, the car sits flat and all fours feel extremely planted on the black stuff, it's like the tyres have found new life. on the throttle in corners, understeer is pretty much gone and there is no more back end step-out.

last night was pretty much a monsoon here on the gold coast and i gave it a bit of stick through some round-abouts on the way to a mates house... there was only VERY SLIGHT understeer but still felt very safe and planted. with the stock springs i was all over the road struggling to keep the fronts in line.

        highly recommended to anyone!

Very nice! The handling sounds great too! I must also say that I think they're some nice rims you got there. They go really well with the silver duco. I think its quite hard finding the right rim for the polo but these are amongst the only ones I've liked.

                • The ride is excellent IMO. Of course, its a little bouncier, but it handles a little better around corners and the bumpiness isn't too harsh.

                  • looks good mate. isn't it a huge difference in handling! i couldn't believe it.

be very careful of speed bumps. i went over some in a toyota dealership yard yesterday and had a reflective glass office next to the road so i could see the clearance.....let's just say there wasn't any. that little flap about half way along the underside on each side of the car got scraped the bump. i guess i'll have to do the ricer-boy angle drive over the speed bumps now.... what a loser i'm gonna look like (no comment from you please sam, preeny, steve, jason et al. ).

i suppose i have good reason for it, not like some of the riced up excels around here that must think a cheap body kit significantly lowers the car, because they all drive SLOOOWLY over bumps on an angle and the car is still at standard height

                        Looks sensational...!

I really have to switch the Eibach's for some 35mm H&R's... I just have to find some I guess.

this is where pretty much everyone on here got theirs, including me. try to find someone else to get them with so you can split the shipping, and they will be about $295 to your door.order yourself and they work out about $320.

                            looks awesoooooooooooome!

is the drop by 35mm? how high off the ground does it become then?

does anyone have H&R springs with nrma insurance? just trying to work out whether they permit lowering it as they are pretty strict with these things

                            thanks!

they are 35mm springs so it's MEANT to be a 20mm drop for GTI's (35mm from standard Polo height and GTI's are 15mm lower than standard Polo's.... you do the math ), but they definitely look lower than 20mm, i'd confidently say mine are 25mm+ lower. as for high how off the ground....about this high

not sure mate, my mates old Saab 93 had them too, but his were more like mudguards half way along.
