Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

sounds easy enough. i have to take the left wheel off anyway to install a brake sensor loop so i'll do that at the same time.

what if the nylon tube isn't long enough to reach the intake manifold/FPR line? can i just get an extension?

Me personally...I wouldn't. I would just buy some more. Its pretty cheap stuff anyway. I paid about $2.45/m when I bought some from REPCO.

does anyone know where abouts the gromet in the passenger footwell leads to? i've threaded some nylon tube through it but just can't seem to locate it in the engine bay. any help much appreciated.
You cant really see it unless you take the TIP off (well not completely, but at least loose from the MAF so you can reach in behind). Its behind the airbox/computer box. You can reach it, but might have to do it by feel. It is the most direct route and even though its a bit of a pain it is the shortest route and looks good once done,

          i agree.

connecting 2 tude with a connector might increase restirction and pressure.

may affect the reading on the meter.

Thanks for the help guys. I finished installing it myself today. Ended up running the boost line through the rubber stopper on the drivers side and over the wheel arch similar to the way s1831559 did it. Now I just need to get chipped so I'm making decent boost
